Socko are excited to finally launch their recycled range. They have been working hard for the past three years to develop a range of socks that is made from ethically sourced and recycled materials to make a comfortable and hard wearing sock.
Their Recycled Range is made from 50% pre-consumer garment cutting waste cotton, such as t-shirts offcuts, which is colour sorted and spun with 33% polyester from recycled plastic bottles to create an innovative, high quality yarn. The remaining 17% comes when we plate our socks with ECONYL® regenerated nylon that is made from fishing nets and other nylon waste for added durability.
Socko is very proud of the history and skills of their British craftspeople who have supported them since day one in their vision to create a recycled sock.
Every pair of their socks is accompanied by a mending kit; which includes a needle and thread, as well as a 3-step darning instruction guide to encourage repairing or reinforcing rather than throwing away. Socko want to make sure that each pair lasts as long as they can.
