Horizon was founded by two cousins who have been lucky enough to travel together around the world. Whilst travelling and living in Asia, they became increasingly concerned about the growing levels of plastic waste washing ashore on the beaches they explored.

As keen travellers, another issue they faced was the lack of quality travel towels available that could withstand the daily strains of travelling. As active people, they found that after a few days of camping, diving and beach use, the towels would either start to disintegrate or give off such a bad smell they were unusable. Their mission was simple, could they create a high-quality travel towel that suited their needs, whilst simultaneously having a positive impact on the earth by reducing some of the needless plastic waste that floods our oceans. This was how the Horizon fully recycled travel towel was born.
