amie is a wine for friends, by friends amie [a-mee] noun, French | a female friend.
All amie wines are vegan.
Founders, Will Sandbach and Abbie Roden thought up amie together during the Covid-19 lockdown, when they recognised an opportunity to tap into the rosé market with a cool and affordable direct-to-consumer wine brand with free delivery to your door.
Will, who is in the wine business, is engaged to marketer and photographer, Abbie. They wanted to create an exceptional wine in a unique direct to consumer way, whilst raising funds for charity: water. The idea of friends coming together to create the amie brand quickly became a reality with the help of Hermione Underwood (PR) and Jessica Yolanda Kaye (artwork). The team managed to conceptualise, build and launch the brand within just a few lockdown months.
The amie white is a Sauvignon Blanc, with a touch of Gros Manseng; it is ultra crisp with aromatic fruit flavours.
The amie red is a Carignan; made from grape vines that are over 30-years-old, it is incredibly well-rounded and elegant with plum and blackberry fruit flavours.
The amie rosé is made from 100% Cinsault, a grape native to the south of France, the wine is fresh and vibrant with bouquet characteristics, packed with red berry flavours and a touch of cherry blossom.
