Flax and Loom is the new venture of long time sustainable fashion designer Phil Wildbore. He’s now striving to produce ‘the world’s most sustainable, commercial jean’. The hemp, the cotton has been harvested within the vicinity of the weavers. Every part of each piece of clothing is stitched and washed in an eco-formula and finished at Flax & Loom partners in a family run, bespoke clothing factory where people are paid a fair wage. Until its final dispatch from the factory, the whole cycle is dedicated to producing the lowest carbon footprint possible.

We collected the old curtains from charity shops and textile waste plants and gave them a new life by using them on this particular jean. The inspiration behind the pattern on this jean follows the idea that is constant throughout these new jeans which relates to nature taking its own path, creating natural formations and taking over the land it touches. High waisted blue relaxed mom fit jeans with a zip fly. The melt jean is made using deadstock fabric and old curtains. High waisted blue relaxed mom fit jeans with a zip fly. This particular jean was inspired by the “scribbly gum” a native Australian eucalyptus tree which has distinctive zig zag markings or scribbles. This is caused by the moth grub as it tunnels between the old and new bark. It creates this unique design all over the bark of the tree that resembles that of hand drawn scribbling, we found this formation to be very interesting and wanted to portray it in our jeans. High Waisted Organic & Recycled Moss Movement Jeans | Blue Denim

High waisted blue relaxed mom fit jeans with a zip fly.
