Lentinula edodes (known as Shiitake) is a wood decomposing fungus, which develops naturally in logs. Thus, mushrooms of high nutritional and gastronomic value are obtained through a completely natural process, which respects the natural development of the species, without additives or fertilizers.
Shiitake is a mushroom native to Japan, with a dark brown color and rounded hat with a diameter ranging from five to twenty five centimeters. The pulp is fleshy and juicy and with an intense wild flavor, aromatic and spicy, enriched by the fresh aroma of eucalyptus wood. Identified as a super-low calorie superfood, rich in protein, fiber and vitamin complexes, it's the perfect choice for anyone who wants to maintain a healthy diet and take care of the line.
